ACCLAIM FOR "AMERICAN DREAMS": Television serial receives FOUR Kerala State Television Awards, including BEST TELE-SERIAL

WASHINGTON, D.C. - On April 5, 2004, the Malayalam television serial, "American Dreams", an Ushas Entertainment production, broadcast by the Asianet Global network, was recognized by the State of Kerala with four awards, the most for any Malayalam television production this year.

The 2003 Kerala State Television Awards for "American Dreams" include:

• Best Tele-serial (produced by Valsala Sekhar/Ushas Entertainment and directed by Shajiyem)
• Ravi Vallathol (as Devan) received the award for Best Lead Actor
• Deepa Iyengar (as Lekha) and Meera Menon (as Suja) jointly received the award for Best Supporting Actress
• Ranjith Sankar received the award for Best Script for a Television Series
