Production Begins on Malayalam Television Serial Set in America

WASHINGTON, DC - Ushas Entertainment, LLC, USA an all-embracing entertainment company incorporated in the state of Maryland, dedicated to encouraging a 'new dawn of cultural awareness' through various forms of art, commences production on a Malayalam television serial being filmed in the United States. On April 27, 2002, Ushas will host the 'switch on' ceremony, which officially initiates production of the serial. The cast including well known South Indian actress Geetha (acted in Malayalam movies like Panchagni and Vaishali), Mallika Sukumaran (wife of late Malayalam film actor Sukumaran, and currently acting in numerous Malayalam serials), Sarath (new young actor who has acted in films like Madhura Numbara Kattu, Ennu Swantham Janakikutty) and a pool of other experienced and talented local artistes will be in attendance for the ceremony. Shajiyem will be directing and U.S. based Bala Chandran of Image-In-Asian Television will be the videographer for the production.
