Two "One-of-a-kind Projects Reach Completion: Malayalam music album and television serial

WASHINGTON, D.C. - On November 25, 2002, Ushas Entertainment LLC, USA, in collaboration with Trinity Creation released "Agalayanengilum" (Though far away...), a new Malayalam music album. This is a unique venture that has never been attempted before in the Malayalam music industry, combining the creative talents of well-known playback artists in India like Chitra, Sreenivas, and Venugopal, as well as exceptionally talented artists in the U.S.

In addition, Ushas also screened a sneak preview of the Malayalam television serial, "American Dream," which has recently completed post production work after being filmed in the U.S. earlier this year. This serial will be broadcasted on a major network in India by the beginning of the New Year. With adequate sponsorship, Ushas hopes to broadcast the serial in the U.S. as well. "American Dream" was directed by well known television and film director, Shajiyem, and is starring veteran actors in the television and film industry in South India like: Geetha, Sarath, Ravi Vallathol, and Mallika Sukumaran, in addition to talented local actors.

More than 300 people were in attendance for the album release and the sneak preview. The first half of the evening began with a dance performed to one of the tracks on the new music album. This was followed by the performance of selected tracks of the album. Although several of the playback artists based in India were unable to attend, the local artists deftly compensated in their absence. The latter portion of the evening consisted of the television serial preview. The first episode along with the clips of upcoming episodes was shown to an eager audience. With the enthusiasm of a supportive and receptive audience, the evening proved to be a splendid success.
